Kan-do Handprints & Ceramics is going mobile to provide you with some fun. We would come to your location and give each workshop or party participant clay to mold into a shape, tools to add texture or design, and food safe glazes to paint their creation. We will then take your work, fire it in a kiln, and return it to you or your host approximately three weeks later.
For little ones three to five years of age with a parent volunteer, we start with a simple bowl project to let their fingers mold, stamp, and color the clay into a cute little simple and functional project, such as a bowl. This type of project is fun for any age! Once school aged children and adult participants groups are comfortable working with these projects, we are planning on expanding our curriculum to have animal designs, in which the projects become more advanced and incorporate basic ceramic hand building principles.
These clay workshops, parties, and sessions are wonderful for:
- Birthday parties
- Summer camps
- Daycares and preschools
- After school programs
- Kids’ clubs such as Girl Scouts or Cub Scouts
- Adult community groups
- Retirement or senior centers
